FROM THE PREZ
Welcome to a new year everyone! 2011
was a massive year for the Boilerhouse, and we’re very proud of everyone who was involved in our three great shows,
“Honk!”, “Nunsense 2” and “Hair”. 2012 brings
us another great new lineup, with “Love, Loss and What I Wore”, directed by Jess Ryan, “Alice the Musical”
directed by Jo Rains and Libby Crow, “Sanctuary” directed by Tony Rains and finishing up with “A Slice of
Saturday Night”, directed by Julie Paice. We’ll keep you posted about
audition and booking information for all of these shows, and if you’d like to be involved, on or offstage, feel free
to contact any committee member.
While 2011 was certainly a brilliant year for the theatre, there were also ups
and downs throughout the year, with a few of our members hospitalised for various reasons (and all on the mend now, thank
goodness!) We also said goodbye to Pearl Stokes, a long time member of the company,
and we also send our condolences to the family of Eve Old, well known around the theatre community, who sadly passed away
late last year. And of course we were all devastated by the loss of little Poppy
Kate Armistead, and send all our love and support to Bec and Glen, and the entire Stephens/Armistead families, during this
difficult time.
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and we look forward
to seeing you all around the traps this year!

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM BTC
THE BTC HAS OPERATED AND PERFORMED AT THE BOILERHOUSE COMMUNITY ARTS CENTRE FOR THE PAST
13 YEARS, IN THAT TIME WE HAVE PRODUCED AND PRESENTED MANY DIFFERENT PRODUCTIONS.
WE ALONG WITH THE OTHER USER GROUPS IN THE ARTS CENTRE ARE UNAWARE AND UNABLE TO FIND
OUT WHAT OUR FUTURE HOLDS.
WE HAD THE ASSURANCE OF THE USE OF THE CENTRE FOR 2010 BUT BEYOUND THAT IS THE UNKNOWN.
THE BTC COMMITTEE WILL CONTINUE TO PLAN EVENTS AND SHOWS UNTIL WE HAVE SOME NEWS OF WHERE OUR HOME IS, HERE? OR ELSEWHERE
